I'd defend the person who was a victim of violence, as I hope you would.

I'm assuming the ugly person is ugly because she has acted violently toward another person.

Did the gum spitter spit the gum with an air of superiority? Or was she choking on it and had to get it out to avoid a similar episode. You didn't say. Would it really matter? Wouldn't her attitude make her ugly or beautiful or neutral?

Also, exactly what is the threshold that makes it acceptable to shove someone into the mud?

Perhaps being beautiful is the real infraction. Spitting gum was simply justification for punishment.

I ask all of these questions because I can't figure out why you would care if one person was physically ugly or beautiful. So you must be talking about attitude.

The ugly person who pushes the beautiful gum spitter in the mud. Gum spitter should know better, that's gross. By the way, it of course would depend on each persons definition of beautiful.

If I stepped in the damn gum, I'll not only defend the ugly vigilante, I'll go cut the cane and volunteer for the job of warming up the beautiful spitter's backside.
