Web sites like www.salary.com do provide you with general information, although the numbers can vary drastically from what you're really worth since the job descriptions are quite generic and often don't match what you may be doing. I recommend looking at www.hotjobs.com and www.monster.com and seeing what some of the employers are offering for similar jobs in your area. Keep in mind that the employers posting the numbers tend to be a little lower than the normal market but it'll get you a better estimate than Salary.com.

This site may help you. Click on your state to find the info you want:

Keep in mind that in the end the EMPLOYER will decided how much the position pays because it is based on what the EMPLOYER can afford to pay for the position. If you get too aggressive with your employer about "not being paid enough for the job I am doing" they way just show you the door and hire somebody who can be content to take what the company can afford to pay..

Good Luck!

Create a web site or blog.(It is free)freeblogs.com , bloggers.com etc.Visit http://www.homejobs2all.com and join the program through the google referral button.
Google Adsense is perhaps the easiest way to attract advertisers from across the globe to your website. Just submit your site to Google for approval. If Google likes what it sees, it will place relevent ads linking to products likely to appeal to the readers. Each time a reader clicks a link, the advertiser pays Google a small fee, and Google splits that money with you.Good luck!
