There are only a few things you have to know.

First, you have to know what a logarithm is.

If we say log(base a) of b = c

it means that a^c = b.

Example:

log(base 10) of 100 = 2

10^2 = 100

Next, you have to know that the log of a product equals the sum of the logs of the factors.

Example:

log(10 * 100) = log(10) + log(100)

The log of a quotient equals the difference between the logs of the numerator and denominator.

Example:

log(1000 / 10) = log(1000) - log(10)

And finally, the log of a root is equal to the log of the number divided by the degree of the root.

Example:

log(sqrt(100)) = log(100) / 2

Anyone who spells neighbor with a u should know how to spell peek and when to use an apostrophe (neighbour's test).
