Why it is not appropriate for a man to move around the house in his brief underwear when there are children?

..in the house. But it is okay when they are in the beach. I meant men are also wearing brief underwear when they are in the beach in front of their children. And that's the point. So, why is it not right when they are wearing brief underwear at home when kids are around?

Whose kids? If they're his own kids then it's ok. If they're other people's kids, then he's flirting with inappropriateness. At the beach it's ok, because beachwear is BEACHwear. You wouldn't go around wearing a bikini to work, or to the mall, or to the dentist, would ya?

Well, it has to do with Society. Seems that the ones in America are so bleeding hung up on things like that. A true story is this: a woman was walking outside on the sidewalk and went past a house where a male was nude IN his house....he walked past the window about the time she did. She called the Police and the man was arrested IN HIS home for indecent exposure! He had to go to Court for this....he was fined heavily and that is now on his Record. The woman did get a ticket for 'peeping tom' violation only AFTER the man mentioned this in Court. So, as you see, Americans are so hung up on that. I agree, people at the beach can wear things like that and get away with it....but have you noticed the beachwear is LESS to the imagination that normal underwear? I live in Germany and we walk around in less clothing in our home. H3ll, we sometimes walk around with nothing on from the bath to the bedroom....but then again, we don't have kids...but we know of other families that do this and they do have kids.

It just all boils down to Society and the rules/laws put in place.

I believe the material for underwear and the material for bathing suit is quite different.
My dad used to wear white briefs around the house when I was a young girl and I tell ya it grossed me and my siblings out!! Enuf said!!

there will come a time in the future when the children are grown and out of your house when it will be acceptable for anyway you want to dress or undress, but right now there are just certain ways children do not need to see their parents.

It's fine as long as he does it because he's comfortable but it is not fine if he does it because he's a pervert.

that's my husbands stupid argument for wearing his stupid speedo type things , or granny panties. It's not a valid argument. beach wear is more supportive and you don't dangle.Also your at the beach. Duh!
