Not toe jam, but lint and dirt. From sweating and running around. If you go to a park and get sand in your shoes...
I think it'd take a really long time to aquire something that could be referred to as a "jam".

i think like when you put on shoes without socks and your feet are already dirty, and with the sweat and dirt, well you know the rest . . . (gagging)
