Barnes Group is a manufacturing and distribution company with three major divisions: Bowman Distribution, Associated Spring, and Barnes Aerospace. Bowman Distribution distributes industrial, automotive, and specialty parts to customers worldwide. Associated Spring produces a wide variety of custom metal springs for U.S. and foreign distribution; its largest market is the automotive industry. Barnes Aerospace produces precision components for jet engines and airframes.

Know who is the underwriter. The reputation of the underwriter matters, because this is the wholesaler of the stocks, you purchase stocks from them. If the underwriter is good then you can have an assurance that this is worth investing security.

Well if it's just a 2 month stock game, probably not. It'll probably go up, but there's other stocks that'll probably rise more quickly.

Just for the record,

Long term - uptrend (since Jan '05)
Intermediate term - downtrend (since mid-April)
Short term - uptrend since about Sep. 15
