No owners manual, no diagram under hood. I asked this question and the answer I chose as best isnt actually the motor.

I dont think Oldsmobile made 88's in 97.

i don't know If you are familiar with auto zone, but i had a car that had to have a water pump replaced and i didn't have a diagram for the belt and they printed me one out for free, it couldn't hurt or cost to ask. if you don't have an auto zone , maybe ask the car part store that you purchased the belt from. good luck!

once you buy the belt, it should be easy to figure out. It uses the engine to turn all the pulleys in line with it.
