hehehe... yeah i just started wearing gothic clothes and stuff... i've always been goth deep down, but i wasn't mature enough to handle flat out rejection at the time.
anyways, it freaked mom and just about every single one of my friends... all thought i was evil or somethin'... lol.
it's taken them a little while, but i think mom knows now that a little black nail polish isn't going to affect my grades in a negative way... and my friends have seen that i'm the same person they liked before.
i'm a christian actually... lol... so very much not a satanist... but yeah... church hasn't been easy cause everyone is so focused on steriotypes. it is wrong for christians (and anyone else) to "burn" you cause you're different... i take comfort in the fact that they do it because they do not understand... people fear what they cannot (or will not...) understand.
anyways, good luck. maybe eventually people will be able to see goths for what they really are: people.

There's really not much you can do about those people, except know that you will get out of high school (and your small, backwards town) one day.
I'm 20 now, and have just moved to a big city away from the narrow-minded suburban town I went to high school in. I still get a kick out of the fact that some of the kids I know who made fun of me are working full time at Hooters or something, while I go to college and make something of myself, eyeliner or not.
(Not to offend anyone who didn't go to college, for whatever reason, but these were the girls who had their lives handed to them on silver platters [rich parents / connections], and still managed to throw it all away).
So, study hard, don't do drugs, and all of that other Mr. T advice...and one day you'll learn that those people's opinions weren't even worth the time you spent worrying about them.

Tell them to mind their own fu*king business. So what if they think you are a Satanist. Be proud of who you are.
