Nobles were said to be of "Patrician Rank" therefore C. Magistrates were the holders of certain official posts, Plebians were the general populace, and Republicans were those who wished to get rid of the Princeps and return to the system that formally eneded when Octavian (Augustus) became Princeps, but which was basically destroyed in the period during and after the first Triumvirate.
