Nope. His plot is to lay low and put pressure on the big boys (Ballack and Shevchenko) to perform. If they don't, Lampard will be back in favor again.

Frank Lampard is another David Beckham, a player who has good skills, works hard, and thrives when a team is built to suit his skills.

In Man Utd Beckham had a great understanding with a solid G Neville who does like to overlap, and Man Utd could go forwards to reach Beckham's crosses knowing R Keane would stop anything going the other way. And when you have quality headers of the ball with good vision like Sheringham, Cantona, or pacy forwards like Cole, Yorke, things work well.

The same goes for Lampard, when he has Makelele destroying all opposing attacks and feeding the ball to him he doesn't have to think defence. As the team goes forward, he can run and pick up the pieces, shooting straight for goal. His pace is just right to reach the critical area at the right time.

But now having Ballack and Essien fighting for places things are tougher. Ballack and Lampard are similar, but Ballack has more skill and vision; Essien is defending but is at least as effective as Lampard going forward. All of a sudden Lampard isn't the king of midfield, and the tactics have changed to accomodate Shevchenko and Cole. Chelsea often now switch to a back 3 when they attack as Cole goes forward and Boulharouz tuckin in. The attacks are starting from behind Lampard and surging forward. Drogba has adapted, Lampard is finding it difficult.

As the world cup showed, Lampard is a good premiership player, but is far from world class. I prefer Zokora at Spurs (despite his recent dive for which he should be banned).

This presupposes Frank was ever in possesion of a plot, which he isn't. He is nothing more than an above average footballer working the media circus to embellish his earnings. The success ratio of footballers is 1 in 10,000 acadamy applicants become proffessional, most of those in the lower divisions. Those that reach the top have access to a fairytale lifestyle, but not for long!Go get it Frank.
