My personal opinion is that during his tenure in office and afterwards during the building of the Library he kept mentioning the bridge to the future. Now this doesn't mean much in itself or taken as a stand alone phrase, but If you could have heard the conversation that I overheard at a local eatery less than 10 blocks away from this "old rusty bridge" in which a local politician made the comment that "Hillary's" library would be located at the opposite end of the bridge and that "it was in the 10 year plan" ....... sounds like Hillary has already bought the election to me.

That is an old Industrial area currently under renovations. Real estate properties in the area is being rehabbed. Businesses are relocating, new apartments, Hotels are being built in that area of the Arkansas River and new restaurants are moving in.The whole area is going up in value and old structures like the bridge are soon to be dismantled.

i live about 1 mile from the "double-wide on stilts" as we call it here in Arkansas. the site overlooks the Arkansas river and the old railroad bridge just happened to be there. the bridge is being converted into a pedestrian bridge crossing the river.

the site was chosen by clinton and the folks in charge are doing a very good job with the site.
