If you didn't apply for the job, and just received the offer unsolicited, it seems unlikely to be reputable.

Not that you are unlikely to do well as a Financial Advisor, but you should look into what the job entails, and find a reputable company to make your own application.

For information about financial advisor positions, there is a wealth of information at the US Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook at http://www.bls.gov/oco/
Type in the "financial advisor' and you will find educational requirements, if any, certifications required, the predicted hiring patterns for the next few years, and expected salary range, and related fields.

Don't even think about it, those jobs are worthless. You get like several hours of unpaid training, a bunch of books to read, then they expect you to give investment advice to people (like that brief introduction makes you an expert with other people's life savings).

Just say no.
