I step on them and clean it up. Mom's can't afford to be squeamish about bugs.
I admit I did scream and run out of the house when a bat flew at me though. I thought the little bugger was dead when I reached out to pick it up. Brrrrr!!!!

I step on it and squash it all without screaming, best in bare feet to feel the crisp "snap" of the bug breaking underfoot.

If it's not a cockroach I catch it. If it is a cockroach I step on it. I don't know why most girls scream, I always thought that was silly. My aversion to cockroaches might be silly too, but I don't scream.
