Was born in New England and have lived in Hawaii for most of my adult lift. Have ONE night in a hotel in Foxboro (So. of Boston). Plane arrives at 5pm and I would love to eat in an old dark wood restaurant that serves good food - AND - since I am asking - Steak and Seafood would be nice but I remember getting Pizza on the East Coast and it was the best in my world. So, if anyone is framiliar with the drive from Logan Airport, South to Foxboro and you think I would like a restaurant please let me know. I leave on the 6th of Oct.

Well before you leave the city and head down to Foxboro, would be your best bet to get a good place to eat. Around Fanueil Hall you'll find tons of what you're looking for. Union Oyster House, McFaddens, The Bell In Hand. . .All good places! If you want a slice of pizza, go to Pizzeria Regina in the North End on Thayer Street. . . . Once you get on the highway to head to Foxboro, there will be a lot less options, and I am not familiar with the Foxboro area as far as restaurants go enough. . . . I'd really suggest Union Oyster House though.

ShouldbeW has a good answer for you, there are plenty of eateries around the Quincy Market Place. I also suggest eating before heading down to Foxboro, it really isn't all that close to "downtown" Boston. The North End is great for Italian style food.

i think the oldest eating place in Boston is The Union Oyster homestead. that's easily-user-friendly and massive; it is not a mom and pa element; however the kinfolk that owns it runs it and is frequently there to greet people and that's an exceedingly, very neat place. additionally in Boston, i'd propose going to the North end at night for some large Italian nutrition. you will stumble on a small, old formed place....stroll down cobblestone streets....
