I live by both actually.
When it comes to something that I think will help me in life, I want to know it. Knowledge is the key to success.
When it comes to something I really don't want to know, and don't need to know, Ignorance is definitely bliss.

What you finally find out is, knowledge is power only so long as someone without it finds it valuable, and ignorance is only bliss till what you don't know jumps up and bites you in the butt. In short, either way you go, you're screwed.

I live in a bubble. Of course I am educated hold a doctorate. The knowledge of the outside i see on tv. I live on a small island and have no grasp of the people in the north. Why they scurry around like rats always in a hurry is beyond me

Both... there are times that I want to be ignorant but there are also times you have to face the truth and gain knowledge.
