yes...but try not to be fooled by some retailers rhetoric..I worked as a manager for 2 long years in retail....being a salaried employee was awful...getting the same pay for 40 hours as for 60 hours...but you will learn some valuable people skills...dealing with the public can really be rough...I deal with the public 6 days a week in my current position(not retail) and those people handling skills can come in handy

Management skills - upgrading yourself with further studies on the subject, or reading. Best way is to look around at your co-workers, peers and subordinates alike. Look back at those days you report to someone. Are there values in them that you enjoyed? Also those that you dislike. Then it's a matter of emulating the ones you want in you (to be a good management staff) and assuring that you do not process the ones you dislike.
