If I never got arrested for a crime, can that show up on my background check. I know that doesn't make sense so I'll elaborate more. I was in one of those wrong places at the wrong time things. I was w/some girls that decided to steal a shirt. One girl put a shirt in my bag because her purse was too small. Since I didn't directly steal it and it was the girl, I just had to pay a 100.00 fine. I never got arrested or anything and that happened out of state. Will that show up if any of my jobs check in the future?

$100 fine means you got a ticket, which means a summons (to court). you were arrested. paper trail begins here...........

btw for future reference: "one of those wrong places at the wrong time things," is another way of saying guilty. you didn't directly steal it? yeah right.

stay clean, you'll be alright.

There's a reason you had to pay a fine. I'm guessing that it will show up on your background check. Wouldn't you be considered an accompliss?

you pled guilty and paid the fine. just a silly misdemeanor...an application form usually says have you been convicted of a felony in the past 7 years. not a felony but saying no is tricky. you could get in front of it but be prepared to lie and say you did it..your story sounds like bull s-hit.

I would say that it is not going to show up on your record because you did not get arrested.

more than likely if you didn't go to court nothing will show up because there's no proof of charges..
