Cheating has nothing to do with how well, or poorly the guy is treated. Many very faithful and good women get cheated on. In fact, I'd say it's more likely when they are good wives than when they're not.

If he is a cheater, he may also be a liar. Maybe she didn't treat him badly at all. How do you know? You have only heard "his" side of the story.

Your chances of him cheating on you are probably very high. You are very wise to consider that possibility.

I don't think "once a cheater always a cheater" at all. But I wouldn't make excuses for his behavior either ("she treated him really bad"). The fact that he explained his past to you means he is aware there was a problem with his character and that he is working on his honesty issues. We know he is capable of cheating when things are bad but now we need to know if he will cheat when things are good! I think that someone who has a history of infidelity needs to pay closer attention to managing it out of his life more than someone who has no prior experience. And the bottom line is that only he can do that. I think you have to be fair and not jump to conclusions by looking for infidelity in your relationship. But here is a simple question: if someone were paroled from prison for bank robbery, would you hire the person to run your bank? Good luck.

Danger Penny Robinson. Once a cheater, that urge will always be a possible problem. You could be walking in to a mind field. You must be careful. You're marrying someone and you know both of them. Even worse! Did you see the abuse first hand?

You might want to pass on this one. Fish in the sea baby, fish in the sea.

I think he will....because I think he will. I think most people have an urge to cheat at some point in their life / relationship. It's just easier for those who have already been down that path to do it again. It's sort of like the barrier is already broken. But who knows....if he has been faced with the hurt that it causes, maybe he has learned a lesson and won't do it. But call me a cynic and don't wait up.

Some things you left out. Did she cheat on him as well? If both were doing it, who cheated first? If he was the first to cheat or the only one to cheat, chances are he will cheat again. I base this on personal experiences. Cheating isn't always about sex. Cheating can be about power, ego booster, ect.... As to why men cheat, they think that us women will be none the wiser. Think about it, if a woman cheats on her man with someone that is bigger than her man, will he figure it out?? You bet. But a man just has to keep his secret and he has to hide evidence.

i personaly think that if he cheated on her with u and just with u, i mean just once. and u know him for years and u sure about him then u should go for it. Just keep looking for signs or something. If he loves u he wont cheat on u. dont treat him like she did.
Good luck!

chances are that he will cheat again. It dont necessarily mean that he will. He may be one of the small % of those that dont repeat cheating. You are marrying the guy so you must trust him and I wish you the best of everything.
