I would have to say Autodesk's Maya. It's interface is a little less intimidating than 3D studio max and basically renders a bit better than 3DSM. If price is a concern Animation Master is super cheap and is loaded with alot of common controls. Great for start up research on a budget.

the superb on the industry is Maya. the main recent launch is version 8. Maya is the only rendering application to have its very own Academy Award. it rather is now owned by potential of Autodesk and is exactly sixty 4 bit. in case you're actually not working a sixty 4 bit gadget, Maya 6 would be an exceptionally smart and lots extra cost-effective answer.
