I'm going camping with my school (12 grade)anyways I was wondering if bringing a suitcase,a matching bag,and you know one of those little bags that scrunch up at the top would be bringing to much stuff?Oh,and i'm staying up in the mountain for 3 days.

Believe me, when u go camping after half an hour of walking the hills you begine to wish you'd packed less.

Last time I went camping I took a backpack (a medium sized one that backpackers take) and a sleeping back, and it was so heavy after half an hour. Was fine when I started out too. So as far as camping is concerned, less in more.

If you have a place to keep all ur stuff, like a lodge or something, then a suitcase with a bag that you can carry that will keep the stuff you need for three days will be more than enough.

But really, how much stuff will you need? If it really is a problem, share with a friend, toiletaries and stuff are good to share.

Well, if you are going to be doing any major hiking, then yeah, that is going to be way too much. Pack the essentials, a few changes of clothes, all the proper camping supplies, food, water, matches, a pocket knife, a flashlight with extra batteries, good hiking boots, extra socks, a good warm sleeping bag, etc. A suitcase is going to be extremely difficult to carry while hiking. I would suggest a large backpack, or at least a duffel bag with a shoulder strap. Pack what you definitely need, and a little extra just in case, but don't pack anything non-essential or that will be too heavy to carry.
