Yes, many people are related to royalty. In order to assure succession to the throne stayed in the family, royal men often had many illegitimate children that they could pull out of the closet if they needed to do so.

Other than a legend that there could be a Native American princess in the geneology (not confirmed)...I am not. BUT I have SEEN the British Royal family, and it was so wonderful. Queen, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles, Princess Diana, and the two princes when they were young boys. Passed the Queen and her consort in a motorcade, as well as saw her entering a museum for a special event. Charles and Di were going into Westminster Abbey (with the boys) for a wedding. They came in separate cars...he arrived a bit later than her. They walked mere feet from where I was standing, gawking bug eyed. I am a royal buff....for English past and present, so that was HUGE for this American dreaming of England!

I am a direct decendant of Royalty - wich means that I am Royalty, although I doubt I could claim any throne since the country in question no longer has kings. So i'm stuck in a tiny apartment here :-(

Years ago I met a guy named David Cook. He said he was in line for the British Throne. I always thought he was full of it. Then I found his name on Wikipedia and whadya know - he's a decendent of Queen Victoria and an heir to the throne. OK - 300 people have to die for him to become King, but who woulda guessed some guy in North Carolina would be an actual heir to the British Throne.

No, not royalty, but my sister has traced our tree back a very long way, and we are apparently distantly related through marriage to George Washington. :)

No, but Queen Elizabeth II once said, "They are not royalty, they just happen to have me as their aunt."

I'm descended from some 16-18th century German dukes and duchesses. Some of them are from the Habsburgs.

I am related to the Plantagenets but I try to keep it secret. I had my DNA analyzed and it confirmed that I had a royal bloodline that went back to the Vikings. The Plantagenets were Normans who were Vikings.
