i recently had my gallbladder removed i was not experiencing any symtoms but stones were detected during other procedures will there be any digestive changes

Typically right after surgery many people suffer constipation, this is generally from pain medication as codeine or opioid analgesics are very constipating. Once that has abated the only symptoms you may have is diarrhea when you eat heavy or fat laden meals. this is because your body no longer stores excess bile to utilize when you eat these types of meals. It is generally recomended that you eat a low fat diet after removal.

I had my gallbladder removed about 13 years ago. I've eaten normally since then. I have no problems with anything. I can eat donuts (which lead to my first attack) with totally no problem at all. It's one of those surgeries that you heal from quickly and go on with your life as usual. Best wishes to you!

Yes of course there will be. The Gall bladder secrets bile which is used to break down fats. The doctor should have given you something to tell what to avoid.

Should only get better. I did have horrible symtoms before my surgery.

yes one of them is diarrhea--i know because I am a nurse and I have had mine out as well--doctors will usually reccomed you take metamucil everyday--
