well you could tell your mom about its capabilities what it does like give her a scenario she doesn't have an ipod and y'all are driving in the middle of nowhere so you cant get any radio stations she could listen to your psp if you put music on that she liked. that might not be the best example but something along those lines hope it helped.

a used one from ebay maybe? most people are still not that impressed with psp -- the movies are too expensive compared to portable dvd players and there are not many games.

tell her that you can watch movies, like in the car or on a plane or something. you can save pictures play games and go online. and say there very durable.
