Maybe you shouldn't ask that because people might argue about different opinions. But I think they're not going to the superbowl.

It depends...and this is what it depends on.

1. Home field advantage. The hawks have now lost a game that would yield the tie breaker to chicago... if we actuall have home field advantage throughout the playoffs, then its a very straight-forward "yes!". Count on the hawks going 7-1 at home at the worst (and that loss would be to the chargers...if any at all)

2. Injuries: Last year Seattle didn't have any significant injuries going into the superbowl, or throughout most of the season. They need this bye week to heal some injuries and lick their wounds from that horrible game in chicago.

3. O-Line issues. Some would say Shaun needs to start running harder.... or whatever. The bottom line...is that it has nothing to do with Shaun Alexander, and everything to do with their O line. They have a new left guard and a new right guard. neither has had much experience (starting a combined 2 or 3 games now?). If they can come together to offer a reasonable running threat, then the passing game will open itself up. The hawks cant go to a 4 wide set if they haven't been running the ball well.

4. Who is leading in the 1st quarter? If the hawks are leading at the end of the 1st quarter, then I think they will win any and every game. The basic reason is this. Anytime they lose the lead, Holmgren has a tendency to stop running and start throwing. This allows the other team to sit back and wait. Hasselbeck gets impatient and throws some bad balls (all predictable interceptions), and the game swings COMPLETELY in the other teams favor. If the Hawks are ahead, they will keep running AND passing (we all know the hawks have too many weapons on offense).

5. DEFENSE: Ok... so laugh all you want. but believe it or not..the hawks defense is good. Obviously... i can't say its as good as I (that "I" is capitalized for exclamation and not grammatical reasons) would like to say it is. The hawks defense broke down due to some blown coverages. The hawks have shut down talented wide receivers that ran far more complicated patterns than chicago ran. The hawks D line is without tubbs, and it showed on sunday as the hawks were getting blown off the line by middle of the 2nd quarter. When the D line gets blown off the line, then you know they are tired, or undersized. Tubbs provides the meat of the interior line that craig terril can't provide on a regular every down basis. If you get blown off the line, then the opposing team will run all over you. When they do this, the play action becomes that much more efficient.

6. Coaching. Holmgren knows how to coach (some fans would like to argue against me here....i'm sure). He's been there before, and he knows how to get his teams ready for the big games (as you saw last season in the playoffs). I have confidence that Holmgren will turn this around and make the team highly competitive.

7. HISTORY! YES I SAID HISTORY! No i dont mean the superbowl curse or the Madden curse... although..i guess those go against the team. I mean... look at last season. Last season they had a pretty easy schedule (well compared to some teams). The hawks managed to not only sweep their division, but go 13-3 for the season. The hawks... LOST to the redskins in the regular season and in the post season... they whooped 'em.

The hawks are tougher than people think. Last season they weren't impressive, and didn't dominate anyone (except the 49ers and cards... lol but everyone did). I dont expect them to come out and blow people away this season. Instead, I think Hasselbeck will work on his decision making, alexander and stevens will heal up, and the O-line will work on the playbook a little more.

YES, I think the hawks can go to the superbowl. But if the road goes through chicago.... thats another story.

Oh come on idiots, you are so sure of everything, 4th week into the season?

If the first HALF of an NFL season was that meaningful, the Vikings and Eagles would have a dozen SBs between them. A season lasts SIXTEEN games!

That being said and as a Seahawk fan I have to admit that at this point I'm concerned. One week they look like they are on "cruise control" for Miami, the next week they look like an unattended picnic basket in Jellystone Park......

Lets put it this way, there is no way on Earth they will get past the Chicago Bears in the playoffs playing like they did last Sunday night, not this year. (and Alexander MIGHT have changed the score, NOT the outcome!)

Not me. The Seahawks are a great home team, but suck on the road, they really need their fans to win, unless they play a team like Detroit who the managed to "beat" 9-6. They play in a very weak division, so there's a good chance they may have some home games in the playoffs, but if they have to travel to Chicago again, no way will they make the Super Bowl.

It doesn't matter, as they actually won last year's Super Bowl.

...first time in NFL history that the team that led time of possesion, who won the tunover battle, and led every statistical category LOST the game. Oh, and Pittburgh didn't commit a single holding penalty. Yeah, that's legit.

Zebras 1, Seahawks 0.

Not me. Detroit nearly beat Seattle in week one, not to mention the fiasco in Chicago Sunday night.
