did they drop in value over time?
because the prices shown on comicspriceguide.com seem relatively lower than the variants of X-men: Pheonix Warsong.

I don't know where you guys are buying comics, but I've never seen any of these issues, variants or otherwise, for more than $5. The later issues might be $3 - $4. When I bought my copy of #5 earlier this year, it was in a dollar box at a convention. It was the variant cover.

I'm not really sure what the big deal was about these "variant" covers. The only difference was color. Who cares? If a book is going to have variants, fine. But at least make them completely different from the regular covers!

Yeah- i think they are coming down! Saw one of them at the local comic shop for only $15 the other day!

probably around 20.00 go get a wizard and see or yahoo it www.milehighcomics.com my have the price of it.
