I am in the US and just got the first "new" season with Christopher Eccleston (sp?0 on DVD. I LOVED it...who else likes this show, as well as the old one?
Also, out of curiosity, how did Paul McGann's Doctor "die" and become the Ninth Doctor? And is the Tenth Doctor just as good, if you've seen those episodes (I don't have cable, have to wait for the DVD, which will be a while)?

hells yah! the new doc rocks! I watched all the old ones years ago.... they were preaty corny but good, so i was really happy when they came out with the new one. I have already seen season 2, it is great, but i won't spoil it for you. :)

Paul McGann became the Eighth Doctor in the debacle that was the Fox "Made For TV" movie in like 1998. UGH.
Christopher Eccleston ROCKS as the Doctor. I don't think they addressed how McGann became Eccleston, though.
I'm watching the eps on SciFi, and they just started the second "new" season. And so far what I've seen is just as awesome as the first "new" season (intentionally being vague, 'cause I don't know how much you know of the first season...).
McCoy is still my favorite Doctor, though Eccleston gives him a run for the money.

excellent program and I'm enjoying the constant evolution of the Docotor's character with each regeneration, great storytelling and finally special effects that can keep up with the imaginitive style that the series has alwas posessed.
Love the old series...so much so that on occassion I might even admit to there being a Dr. Who pinball machine in my home. ebay will be the death of me....long live the Doctor(s)

The person who has played Dr. Who has changed alot for the first one in the 1070s. I do like the new show and the new person who plays him.
I liked the way the new season started.
