Quixtar use to be Amway. I got involved in Quixtar once. It was a waste of time for me.

Quixtar and Amway are both owned by Alticor, the 25th largest private company in the United States. Quixtar was launched in 1999 as a hi-tech online version of the Amway opportunity. It proved so popular that virtually all Amway IBOs (independent business owners) transferred across to Quixtar and in 2001 Amway in North America was closed down. Amway still operates internationally (and yes Sunny, they even sell XS Energy drinks in some markets). LTD is Leadership Team Development, one of a number of companies that have been started to support people in developing their independent Quixtar businesses.

Amway and Quixtar are sister companies. Alticor is the parent company of both, as well as Access Business Group. Now Quixtar IS NOT Amway. i repet Quixtar IS NOT Amway. there are many products exclusively available at Quixtar website may not be found at Amway website. for example, XS Energy Drinks. Please understand, Amway is a multi-billion dollar company and #1 in the industry. so whatever those Amway Critics says, Amway was a great company. Now please understand, not all Amway Distributor are same. I am not an Amway salesman. so look for the facts not openions. Thanks

But I thought they just sold stuff like soap, etc...how can that be a scam??? I mean they pay & all...right?
(I have never been involved, just saying what I can see from a distance about the company)
