Maybe they are getting your self-confidence confused with thinking you are a snob. You sound a little bit concieted (saying you got asked out the most probably wont make people like you). I can't believe that everyone wouldn't like you for absolutely no reason. Take your time and try to change the image people have of you.

I think it's natural for some people to just do better at places outside of their every day environment. When you are surrounded by people that you have gone to school with over the years...let's face it, they have already developed an opinion of everyone around them!
We all tend to accept that, and find that we are stuck in the role or charecter that the people around us have forced us into- without even getting a chance to look deeper!
So...you have to ask yourself- what is it that you are doing in your every day life at home, that you don't do at camp??????
I bet you the answer is that at camp- you are not self-conscious, because the people around you don't have a pre-judging opinion of you already. So, you find that you can be more true to yourself, be more confident and positive and outgoing...because, you aren't stressing over what people may already know or think about you right!?!
Well...
That's a sign of projecting a positive you. That's a sign of self control and a level of confidence that you need to hang on to in your every day routine at school too! Sure, we all get bothered and affected sometimes by the opinions of others. BUT, you are letting people around you control YOU. You need to take back some of that control...and stay true to who you are TODAY! Don't let yourself worry about what others will think or say...be true to yourself, don't let anyone rob you of your self-confidence...the people at camp gravitated toward you because you were self-assured and fun! That's a magnetic trait to have in your personality. Stick to that right now, and every day. Genuine and real people that are worth having as a friend will naturally lean toward you.
While the popularity at camp may never happen the same way at school (alot more kids there)...it's better to have a larger group of quality people around you who support, encourage and honor who and how you really are...then to have a giant group of phoney people pretending to be your friend anyhow (which can happen alot in the popularity pool).
So, make tomorrow your first day of being true to you at your hometown school! Stay confident and positive- and never let anyone force you into being quiet and reserved!

:)
Oh and p.s.???????
IGNORE THAT PARIS GIRL, WHO IS OBVIOUSLY AN INSECURE WANNA-BE DRAMA QUEEN- SO LOW ON THE CHAIN OF PATHETIC, THAT SHE FINDS IT NECESSARY TO TRY AND BASH OTHER PEOPLE- TO MAKE HERSELF FEEL BETTER ABOUT HER OWN TIRED AND LAME EXISTANCE!

:)

did you go out with all the guys that asked you out? you may be labeled as easy if you did...only guys like easy girls...other girls don't.....I doubt that they are jealous enough not talk to you....did someone start a rumor? you might want to find out

Just be yourself. If you have to be different, just to make friends, they aren't really your friends, anyway.
