No matter what his reason, he is unhappy and you have two options, work things out (marriage counseling) or grant it to him.

If you want to be free, and he's filing for divorce, then don't worry about why. You can tell him flat out, you know something's up, that he's lying - then tell him, if your'e divorcing, what different does it make if he tells you the REAL reason. And again, if not, let it go. If the marriage is over, then the sooner you grieve and work on rebuilding your life, the better for YOU. Create your own happiness!!!

if he is asking for a divorce he probably realizes that he doesn't love you anymore regardless of his changing stories. Telling you he wants to be free is a really good reason to let him go and make sure you don't sleep with him while he is making up his confused mind. If he wants to go to counseling and work on your marriage then that is what you should do if you still love him.

what ever the reason is thats what it is.. More confused here would be when you said why should i give him a divorce. What you mean you rather have him locked up in a loveless marriage with you..And you knowing perfectly well he doesn't love you anymore but thats okay cause why he pays the morgage?

Why would you want to live with a man who doesnt' want to be married to you anymore. unless you want him for what he can provide for you.

He probably wants the divorce due to reasons he is not willing to share openly with you at this time. If he has admitted to infidelity, then he might be serious of wanting to be rid of you to pursue his desired fling. You should give it to him and let him wallow in his mess. Keep strong and allow him to leave so you can rub it in in 10 years after you rise above his level..
Good luck.

If he wants out, he will get out whether you give him a divorce or not. Why would you not give it to him? The only one you will be hurting is yourself.

So he's got to give you a good answer? Sheesh, no wonder he wants to be free....and no wonder he's afraid. Maybe it's both.

let him go,he has said he wants out, for whatever reason. maybe your never going to know the real reason for this. keep your dignity and self worth and let him go his way.
