Yes!
It's always best to remove any and all traces of makeup before going to sleep at night. This helps to keep a fresh face and healthy skin, and elimiates any risk of bacteria that can promote break-outs.
The same kind of bacteria risks apply in the eye area as well. That of course, includes mascara. The ingredients that are used in the making of mascara are not natural products, and flakes that get into the eyes, as well as the
hair follicles that lashes grow from can become irritated, clogged or promote anything from stye to infections. Keeping mascara on can also lead to the drying out of lashes which can cause the same breakage that very dry hair on your head can go through.
It's always best to use either a makeup remover with a cotton ball, petrolium jelly, or simply a soap and water wash to remove mascara.
:)

YES!!! If not you will not only wake up with raccoon eyes you can rub the mascara into your eyes while you are asleep and may end up with an infection. It takes less than a minute to take it off so you really have no excuse not to remove it before bed.

yes, you do definately need to remove mascara before bed. leaving it in can cause your lashes to stick together, clump, and sometimes even bra=eak. I have never heard about dark circles, but that may be tru too. Mascara and other eye makeup with remove easily with eye makeup remover or if you dont have that, vaseline will work too.

Yes, you should always try to remove all the makeup on your skin before you go to bed. Especially the skin around your eyes is has thinner skin cells so it is more sensitive to the chemicals in makeup products. You won't notice a big difference short term ofcourse but to keep your skin wrinkle free for the long run.

I think it would be best to remove mascara. You might get an eye infection if you accidentally rub it into your eyes while sleeping. And leaving it may even make your eyelashes break easily. Try using mineral oil for easy removal. :-)

You don't HAVE to remove it, but if you wake up next to someone in the morning, think about him and the sight of smudged mascara first thing in the A.M... it's not a very pretty sight.
