Why do you men do this and look so obvious doing it. And hes married! and has kids.

2006-10-03 16:25:22 · update #1

@ STEPCHILD..Yes I find it rather insulting I shouldnt have to take that. No woman shouldnt and he is a very married man with children and his pictures of his kids all over the place. No man should try to come off telling any woman "oh its becuase I am a guy." That is childish and if you think that you should grow up. Very unacceptable for any man who is a husband, father and a doctor!
And for your your info I am 26!

I think it's called human nature. If it bothers you, tell him so! I'm a married man, and I still look at attractive women. It's not like we're going to look the other way every time a woman walks by. If you are a straight woman," not to be judgemental" do you not notice a handsome man when you are looking their way? In all seriousness, he shouldn't google over your breasts, especially in a professional environment. I allways try to maintain eye contact when I'm talking to a woman. But sometimes my human instincts take over, and I glance down. There's no excuse for it, It's just a male behavior thing I think.

This is one of those emotional questions . and you might not like the answer.

I would make sure that you are wearing a good bra and look professional. Just double check.

On a legal level, this is not quite harrassment .. and if he isn't harrassment then if he isn't TOO bad about it, let him enjoy the look He he and you are still polite, you might find a polite way to say his little looks have turned into stares.

Not only is it a guy thing .. Docs, and to a certain extent Nurses, like bodies. Pretty much everything there is about bodies .. and breasts often are the necter to the bee.

Whitney's huston's song taken out of context applies "I don't know why I like it, I just do"

Many women get enlargments for the specific reason of attacting a husband, and it often works.

wish you well.

You could stop acting like an oversensitive, naive little girl.
I myself do not care an iota as to whether or not a female even has breasts as they are not what attracts me. I am attracted more by intellect than anything and you have shown yourself to have a complete lack of it.
He's looking at them. For the love of god grow up. Is that so terrible? If anything, you should be flattered instead of self-conscious. I myself would take it as a compliment and if not, completely ignore it.
Would you be as concerned if he was staring at your shoes? I think not.

With regards to your added comment concerning marriage and children-
One may be committed to his spouse and still be attracted to someone else. Whether one acts upon that attraction is an entirely different subject.
Any assertion that a person can't look at someone else when they are married is asinine to say the least. This is comparable to the thought that I can own a Picasso but not be allowed to appreciate the Monet at the art gallery. That's just stupid.
The fact that he is married with children is completely irrelevant.

Concerning your last comment: I am 27. I am only expressing my opinion. My apologies if you feel offended, such was not my intent. However, I firmly stand by my answer.
I myself would not feel offended if you chose to respond by staring at my crotch but maintain that if for some irrational reason I did, would ignore it entirely. The act of looking at someone is relatively harmless and there is most assuredly a difference between looking or even staring and giving another person a suggestive leer.

Ideally, you should say something, but it all depends how willing you are to put your job on the line. I really doubt that he would fire you and I do believe you should say something. More than likely it will create a more comfortable work environment.

Do you really think he's risk HIS reputation by firing you and wanting this to get out into the open? The more I think about this, the more I think you should let him have it (a scolding, that is). Get up your courage and do it if you can.

I'm a man, but my advice is as fatherly advice on this board.

Because most men find the female body to be a very beautiful and sexually stimulating sight. If we didn't the human race wouldn't last very long

Guys like breasts and society tells them "no looky". What do you EXPECT them to do?

Breasts gather so much attention for the same reason women hypothetically check out guys' packages. With all of the faster blood circulation that goes on during sex, women's breasts (like penises) get slightly larger in size. If a guy sees a woman with bigger breasts, he instinctively thinks "ooh, big boobs.... she's excited and aroused... I must have sex with it!"

Sorry, but guys ARE going to check you out. Can't you just take the compliment that they find you attractive?

we stare because we care...
let me put this to ya strait up.
it's natural. it's an uncontrollable urge! seriously!
of course there are those men who put out an aura of a total idiot.
you know what i'm talking about.there's guys you don't mind them peeking eh?
let me open myself up if i may. i look .with all respect.i dont just look at breasts.i check it all out and put it in the appropriate compartment in my mind. i also have a place in there for the best part of each woman i check out. it's nothing to get wacked out about. it's just natural.
you want to hear something bizzare? a couple of years ago i checked out a car for an older woman that a lady customer of mine referred to me.(i'm an auto tech/mechanic) i have a jump suit on. i wear it in winter. i'm noticing that as i'm moving around the car. shes drooling all over herself.i get out from under the car jump up start walking towards the shop . then i flip around real quik . she was checking out my *** heavily. i'm kinda shy. she got busted. i never saw a nun turn red before till then.she started acting all goofy. so i wispered to her" it's cool . i understand. it's one of those things god instills in us . lust. i always hear the word "lust" as describing a feeling that should'nt be felt. but i think it's the greatest feeling that can be felt without touching anything.it also drives us men. i dont care what anyone says. that single word is what has built the great civilizations. face it ! we woodnt be here itf it werent so.there are derivitaves like ;gay" child molesters" animal lovers". for example. a bad example.a child molester doesnt just all of a sudden decide that he wants children. he dwells on it . thinks about them whenever he thinks about sex and these thoughts compounded and compartmentalized . makes it permanent. i hate childmolesters. i would kill em all right this instant if i could push the button.whoah!!!! i dont want to go there.
anyways at least you have the boys checkin you out! you should feel lucky. be carefull. those things can attract good guys. but also bad guys. use your head...

Wow, what a question. From now on, you're not allowed to look at anyone and find them attractive. If you do, you're disrespecting your parents, yourself, and the whole human race!

Maybe he isn't. I had someone say I was, and I asked why- she said it looked like I was looking down. I looked at her again, looking at her face like the last time, and she said I was, but finally understood that since I am taller than her, I have to look down to look her in the face/ certainly not looking at her chest.
