Of course if we had Kobe we would win! If we had any perimeter shooter on the roster we would of won! But no, they found a excuse to not put Kobe or Redd on the roster! Two players in my mind, that could of made major impacts in the games. Esp, when the games were close, and clutch shots needed to be made. Wade, Carmelo, and James are good players don't get me wrong, but they are not stud, clutch shooters. In the games that U.S.A struggled in were when they couldn't hit a jump shot if their life depended on it! Kobe or Redd would of made those shots, I almost guarantee you that! You talk about some shooters, these two are the ones to watch. Maybe even Ray Allen. That's all they needed, trust me! Hopefully next year! Any shooter please, just get somebody!!!

Maybe with Kobe the USA could might not have won it.... because why Coach K is a man who will not let his team have a player playing for 48 minutes... theres a player rotation.... he don't want ball hoggers he likes to play his team as a team.... He don't want that 5 players of his team will dominate the game he want all of them to play even if they lose.... the reason why the USA lose to Greece is because Greece played better than the USA. and perhaps Greece played as a team... do you think USA could do that with Kobe... I don't think so... but maybe Coack K could discipline his team when its come to team playing.. and also one of the reason is Team USA is a fresh team averaging only 19 yrs. old. but if the same Team will go to the Olympics on '08 that will be a good team cause they have already experienced playing in the international game. and perhaps in Basketball the ball is round.....

What we need to do is have players who are experienced in the international game which is very different from the American game. No Kobe would not have helped because he is a ball hog and does not help the TEAM effort. Dirk would have helped but he played for the German team, Horry would have helped but he didn't play. You see what I mean both of these players have international experience and know how to play as members of a team.

The reason they lost to Greece was, as someone said, they palyed poorly as a team. Do you really think Kobe is a good "team" player at all? I present Game 7 vs, the Suns last playoffs as evidence he is not.

if kobe was there, we would have seen the most selfish ballhog trying to win the gold medal on his own. team USA lost because they couldnt defend the pick and roll, and they were in dire need of shooters, not ballhogs. they dont need bryant. they need ray allen or michael redd!
