My boyfriend and I are really set on naming our son Jackon. But now I am having some troubles with the middle name. I decided that it would be really nice to give our son my father's name, which is also my brother's middle name. That name is Michael. I think the middle name sounds good with both the first and last name that we have chosen, but I am concerned about what people will say when I tell them my baby is named Jackson Micheal. I know that other people's opinions are relatively unimportant, but I am curious to see what other people think of this name before I make any final decisions on it.

Your name choice is fine - the only time anyone will call him by his middle name is on his graduation day. Also, he may end up Jack for short in the long run and Jack Michael is not bad at all.

the names work together but it does just so happen that the 2 names belong to an idiot , well i think it is important for the parents to find a name they love so if you are unsure about the name rethink things , i am 8 weeks pregnant and nothing goes with the last name of the babies father , it all sounds weird so i feel your pain girl , good luck with the naming and the baby and congratulations !!

Have you considered doing two middle names name like Jackson Michael Rae (last name here)? That would draw attention away from the michael jackson thing.

Say in an open street "My son is named Jackson Michael" and see the reactions. Or you can name your son Earl Hickey, then he gets to say "My Name Is Earl".
