apply lotion to the area you shaved if it becomes irritated, dry, or itchy after being shaved. It will be moisturizing and cooling.
18 is a good age to shave.
I like Noxzema shave gel, Skintimate is good too. All of them are pretty much the same, it is just a personal choice. You should definately just try different brands and types and see what you like best. You ahve many years to test them all out and use your final choice.

If shaving is a real bother, you could try to use veet hair removal gel, which is a gel, very similar to shave gel, that you can lather on the area you are shaving, wait a few minutes, and take it off. It will remove your hair.

Most areas of shaving is ok but shaving your pubic hair can be especially irritating when it grows back, and is not reccomended. Other than that, the two tips above should be useful.

There is not one good or bad shave cream or gel ... personally I use the Wally World brand. The key is that you let your body warm up to the water, apply the cream or gel and MAKE SURE you have a razor that is sharp. A dull one will really irritate your skin. After shaving, apply a scent free lotion or even baby oil .... esp if your are sensitive to perfumes or scents. Also, if you check the razor / shaving cream aisles you can find creams that you can apply afterward to assist in razor burn and or bumps.

Use hot water and cream or gel to shave, then use an after shave. It closes up your pores a little and helps cool your face and neck after the shaving. Try one with aloe. Good luck!

Well from a woman's perspective I would say use a gel and a 3 or 4 blade razor. Apply an "after shave" when you're done.

Another alternative would be an electric razor.

Well I have this prob too. But I found that gel base work much better then none gel. Also that those 4 blades razors dont work for me I only use a single blead that is fix and does not move. Eveybody differs you just have too find out on your own.

I use shaving oil and I will never go back to creams or soap! I never get redness or razor burn or bumps of any kind and it's so good for your skin! I love it and it's so worth the try!
