For several months now, i have had little of either. I don't feel like doing much of anything, i have no ideas that really get me excited.I keep thinking, maybe it's just quiet time, it will come.... but it doesn't and i feel i need something to get me going.

FIRST, HELLO. WE ARE LISTENING AND WE HEAR YOU. I AND MOST PEOPLE I KNOW GO THIS FROM TIME TO TIME. I FIND FOR MYSELF I HAVE LET MY PRIORITIES LAX AND MUST PUT PEN TO PAPER AND REWRITE MY LONG & SHORT TERM GOALS. THEN WHAT CAN I DO TO GET CLOSER TO THEM. THEN TRULY WHAT AM I DOING TO GET THERE. AND MOST IMPORTANT, WHY DO I WANT TO GET THERE. START WRITTING WHAT YOU WANT OUT OF LIFE AND GET SPECIFIC--NOT MONEY BETTER JOB--FRIENDS, GET REALLY SPECIFIC AND YOU WILL FIND YOUR PASSION. WRITE WHAT WILL IT MEAN TO YOU TO,GET THESE THINGS AND WHAT WILL IT MEAN TO YOU IF YOU DON'T TRY. GET PASSIONATE. GET LIFE. WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU!

To do what? Do you live in a small town? Do the things that used to excite you not do so anymore?
If life is seeming pointless and you don't have much direction, and the things that used to excite you don't anymore, you may be experinecing early sypmtoms of depression. You may want to seek counseling.
If you are in a small town where nothing seems to happen, just lost a job or boyfriend, etc - then I suggest a change in venue. Roadtrip. Go somewhere crazy this weekend. Get in the car, grab some money, and head out. Get on mapquest, find a place within a few hours drive you ahve never been to, and explore. A lake, and amuzement park, a casino, Niagra Falls, something. And if at all possible, meet someone. Spend a minute with a senior citizen in a park, watch some kids play on a playground (push a kid on a swing and gap with her mom).

Walk, go into a small shop, look around. you may not find what you are looking for - but if your mind comes out of the funk you are in - it was boredom and not depression.

Hi,

It's a good question. Motivation you can check out book or also quote from several website tht you can source in google.
Since dont know your background at all. If looking for inspiration, I just look passed and present life. and just take silent time in the morning to think what I really want in this life ? it's can be anything. mostly I do that, and it's work.
Or maybe you can try to do little observation to several ppl you know, wht they really want to do and wht motivate them. you can list out, maybe have common..

Just try !!...

Cheers !!

Since I don't know what your life is like, there isn't a whole lot that I can say. For me, knowing that there are people that depend on me motivates me. When someone depends on you, there is something triggered in your brain that makes you want to help them. I have always liked giving people advice. When I receive feedback from them, hopefully good feedback, that motivates me even more. Hope this helps.

Inspiration comes from inside, while motivation comes from outiside. People can motivate you, yet you have to motivate yourself.
