You know dad... I could argue with you but I would rather talk about all the good times we had together. Remember that time when we.... I will always remember that. I had fun. Thanks for being a great dad. No man... no father... can refuse a son who uses these words. You only have one father. Enjoy the one you are given. Remember this... someday your going to be a father (Maybe you already are) well... what kind of example are you setting for them? Do this and you are letting your father know that you are mature enough to become the future head of the household.

Well, you are trying to be an adult, but, you don't know how, yet.
He is trying to teach you his way, and you think there is a better way.
Well, you two will keep arguing, or, you will admit that his way worked for him, and parts of it might work for you. Also tell him that he needs to let you make a few mistakes, so that you get to play at the same thing that he had to do to get where he is!
Too bad that some mistakes can cost money, that you don't have, and he will have to pay out. Some mistakes cost lives.
Compromise is the real answer, but, I will bet he doesn't, (might be why he has a heart problem, Type A personality, anyone?), and you probably are of the same mind...
Hope you two get some quality time before time runs out!

Keep spending time with him. Fathers and sons argue - part of the tradition. Try to love him through it anyway, know that he loves you. You'll learn and grow from loving and spending time with someone you're not getting along with that well.
