The person that spits gum. Its doing it on purpose. The one that steals food does it to survive.

The person that spits gum on the sidewalk, is uglier to me. I say that because a person knows better and they chose to spit it on the sidewalk rather than in the trash or grass, considering people walk on that sidewalk as well, gum is gross when you step on it, not to mention sticky. I think it's wrong to steal anything, but if it's a homeless person, looking for their next meal, a part of me couldn't blame them. Now if you pull a Winona Ryder and you steal, even though you have money, I will not be as unnderstanding, like I would, if it were a homeless person.

The person who spits their gum out on the sidewalk. If a person is stealing food they must be really desperate. I would try to give them the benefit of doubt but I'm always the one who steps in the chewing gum.

The person that spits gum on the sidewalk is uglier. The person who steals is someone to pity; he is not necessarily stealing food for purely selfish or vindictive reasons. On the other hand, the gum-spitter has no regard for his environment or fellow human beings. There are many alternatives for getting rid of the gum that will not result in inconveniencing someone else, and he has bypassed all of those.

The person spitting gum because they are not in any way fulfilling a need by doing so. At least there is a chance that the person stealing food may be doing so out of desperation.

To me someone spitting gum would be someone I wouldn't like much which would make them appear to be uglier (even though it has nothing to do with their appearance other than while they are in the act of spitting). The food stealer would most likely be doing it because they have a physical need they cannot fulfil but the gum spitter does it out of laziness or simply not caring about other people's health.

the person that spits gum on sidewalks or anywhere else.... THIS MAKES ME MAD!! There is such thing called garbage cans... I do not litter. I dont even remember the last time I did litter. If your going to get rid of your gum, spit it out in a garbage, can or swallow it for all I care.. This just happened to me today in class, someone spit gum out on the floor, I didnt see it because I dont walk around looking at my feet and so I stepped in it.. Or On accident I always touch gum under neither the desks... Its bull crap.. People need to learn to put their crap in the garbage cans.. And when you spit out gum on the sidewalk did you ever think about the animals?? They could try to eat it and choke on it.. It could happen..

The person that spits gum on the sidewalk and i step on it, mainly because i have to then walk around in my awesome shoes with a fat sticky piece of gum underneath. I hate it

The person who steals food is hungry. Let him/her eat. Spitting gum on the sidewalk is just wrong. It is a filthy habit!
