Consignment stores are an excellent place for glitzy dresses. Another place, though I don't ever go to, is thrift stores. My friend finds gorgeous stuff there- I think rich women wear these things once and oh so righteously toss them out for us serfs to wear.

Try Burlington or T.J.Maxx. I bought a really cute dress for a wedding there.

not the walk in store, try the website first and go under dresses and they have the cutest ones!!
