I've been researching about swimming techniques, and it seems like people on the web only talk about Popov's swimming style. Also, they made it sound so perfect...ummmm...

No one style is best. It is what style is best for each individual. Look at when Janet Evans was reigning. She had an unorthadox style of throwing her arns with out any bend in her elbow, and rolling her shoulders. They used to make such a big deal about how poor and unusual her technique was, yet she was medaling.

Again, no perfect technique, only someon who found what worked best for them.

The technique that works for you is the best technique. Over time as you train you will find your "style", which takes awhile but should benefit you more then using another's style.
