You can't figure that one out? Do you really thing the Jews would adopt the Roman religion?

The Romans occupied Israel and Judea much like we are occupying Iraq right now. Have WE turned their religious buildings into anything else? Is it likely the Romans did?

Put a little thought into it. Compare the Roman occupation of Judea with our occupation of Iraq. They are very similar. The only difference is we don't expect to stay. The Romans did.

C. They were outspoken and rebelled in 67 AD I believe.

not A. at least initially, the Romans tried to tolerate them.
not B. They did try to institute emporer worship there but it still would have been a religious building.
not D. No they rebelled rather than accepting Roman polytheism and Emporer worship.

C. is correct and that made a lot of trouble for the Jews and their roman governors. The Romans allowed their colonies to practice their religious beliefs by policy, and only intervened when it was felt to be a threat.
