I too, am sickened by this disgusting situation. The amish grieve within the community. Pray for them and their darling children. And I was told that donations to help with medical expenses are being accepted at www.coatesvillesavings.com, however in making donations you must include whether the donation is for the amish children or the Roberts family. donations are also being accepted at: Nickel Mines School Victims Fund

Certainly I am, I think all decent people everywhere must be horrified. I pray for the families of all who were affected by this cruel deed. I think that praying for them is one of the best and most important things that we should do.
You know, people have laughed at the Amish for their lifestyle, but if everybody were like them the world would be a much more peaceful place.
The State of Pennsylvania may have a web site that will contain information on how to contact the families or provide assistance to them. Perhaps there is a site maintained by the funeral home which would allow outsiders to express their sympathies.

I am really sad about it. It does make me sick. Any school shooting, but these little girls were so innocent and didn't deserve this. What makes it even worse is the reason he did it. He had molested family members 20 years prior, was having dreams of doing it again, and was mad at God?! Why take these precious girls away from their family who had nothing to do with his problem.
Because the Amish are very spiritual, I think that they would want all of our prayers, and continued prayers for the girls that are still in the hospital. Oh, I hope they make it.

I am not sure what we can do but my heart goes out to them. That was a very awful thing for that man to do.But he is with God now and so are they and I know God will take care of it.I am keeping the Amish community in my thoughts and prayers and everyone else should also.

I agree with all of you. I live 20 min away from the school where it happened. Of all people, the amish community are the least of harm. They stay away from "society" mind their business to keep away from people like that. There are several banks, and websites excepting donations, however I think they know how sorry we all are for their losses, and they appreciate what our community is doing to help them!

I was so saddened by this. I wish he didn't kill himself so he could be in jail. I am so glad though that he did not have the chance to molest them. The only small consolation. I wish there was something I could have done. I am so tired of hearing children being hurt. All we can do is hope and vote for laws to protect children better. I hate the fact that someone would want to do a copycat crime like this.

They choose to live the way they do to avoid just this sort of horrible happening. It only strenthens their beliefs that our world is one big chaotic hell. I don't think we'll ever to be able to truly show our sorrow. I wish I knew a way.
We need to get rid of the HipHop Gansta Wannabe violent culture and practice the Amish philosophy. Won't ever happen because the ignorance of bling and money (ignorance and stupidity) is what drives our culture now.

I don't care what religion, race, gender, or location, there should be some sort of communication device in or near the school. One of the teachers had to run to a farmhouse to call the police. Precious time was lost due to this.

My family is totally sickened by this. We pray with them, and try to figure out how to forgive the monster that did this, He has met with his Judge, anmd I pray it wasn't a pleasant meeting.
