of course! I personally am attracted to guys who are different. Theres nothing wrong with a guy who would be considered "the norm" whatever anyones definition of the norm is. Im not even sure what the norm is. But i do like men who know who they are, and arent afraid to be who they are. So just keep being you and love it. The right girl will come along. :-)

They say "Everyone is beautiful in their own way," and your slippers sound cute. But the realist in me says if you want to be unusual you might have to sway your aesthetics of ideal girl that way too. I am sure you will get a girl, but maybe not a Barbie.
Not to say that opposites never attract, but whatever you are calling the preppy girls these days--the plastics--the one who read that fashion mags, dress like them and wear a lot of makeup--they look at the guys in the mags too for their image of the ideal. They are in a big "image stage" in their teens--and you have to fit their paradigm. But all that crap is IMAGE.
As for your what do you think about, you poetic brooding type, that might be you angle because there are some girls looking for that when they give up the need for Ambercombie.

Different girls like different types of guys. For example, we share some of the same characteristics. I am a vegetarian like you and I love wearing things I make. I also ponder about life. See? Some girls may think that's odd, but I don't. To each his own, right? You certainly can get a girlfriend.

Ya probably, there's always someone out there. Gotta be outgoing to find em though. Although i can't say i'm really into what you're into =\
Sometimes people like each other cuz they're the same, other times cuz they're totally different. My previous girlfriend was quite alike with me, but my best friend is the complete opposite of me. My second best friend is completely like me though (to the point I can't stand him sometimes). Other girls though I've liked are way different than me...
So it's generally either you have most things in common or are nearly totally different.

I even have friends that have fat attitudes and are exciting yet could be over the genuine in an prolonged term relationship. Drama could be exciting yet you are able to basically take lots. the exciting ones will continually be there and once you prefer slightly off the hook blowout night they are oftentimes accessible. no would desire to marry them. Sorry in simple terms reality. The quiet form supplies you you risk-free practices and a calm homestead and a feeling of respectability. yet don't be fooled the quietest and maximum healthful lady I ever knew is with me now and qualifies because of the fact the wildest time that I even have ever had.

I have a friend from work who is vegetarian. He doesn't have a very aggressive personality, so him having girlfriends was hardly ever. But he met someone recently, and they seem to be hitting it off really well... Point is, is that there is someone out there for you. Don't feel bad, and remember to use your strengths. Try joining a club.

P.S. I too am a geek, and I wouldn't have it any other way... I could not stand being like everyone else, and good women truely do like someone who is not afraid to be themselves.

Some girls are afraid to be alone, so they look for someone to take care of them, others girls want to be autonomous, and they are the ones looking for a true soulmate, and then most girls think in terms of " will his genes be what i want my baby to have" or "Will he be better able to take care of my baby even if his genes aren't perfect". I'm sure there are girls who do like you because you are different, you just have to do what seems like the near impossible slaying of a dragon and ASK them, You will survive rejection, and you may find out that its not so bad...there are always more girls.

Absolutely. Imagine all the people in your town, in your country, in the world. There is beyond a certainty that there is someone who is just as different, or is just as normal. Have hope.
