I want to uninstall MS Visual C++ 2003, but I've lost my key to install it again. Is the key in the Help-->About box?

Download Belarc Advisor, it will tell you your keys.

If you haven't remove MS Visual C++ 2003 yet, you should go there and look in Help and About for the key.

Well if you just uninstalled it, you might be able to 'restore' to yesterday or something. Usually if you lose the key, you're out of luck. Call MS and once they know it's authentic and they have you on file, they'll help you.

The key is converted into an encoded hexdecimal entry in the registry. If you don't have it you 'might' be able to get a new key from M$ but you're probably going to be looking at either buying a new copy or getting a pirated one.

The Key is the serial number that came with it. If you've lost that, and your software was registered then MS may be able to give it to you
