I would honestly recommend finding a place that offers more to you. They should have more than that if they really want you to learn. To be on pointe you have to take AT LEAST 3 or 4 classes each week for a few hours a day. You are right, t is not enough. I know that it is not always easy or good for money when switching companies. So while you are still there, see if you can set up a barre and mirrors in your house or room and do something like you do in class so you can practice always in your free time at home. Good luck.

try finding a different studio and/or practice a lot at home. I just practice in my room, but my friend set up a few square yards of tile in her basement and set up a BIG mirror. They even had a small barre installed. But all of that isn't necessary. Just find somewhere with a lot of room to move around. The back of a chair, a dresser, or a table can be used as barres. Find something the right height for you. Otherwise I would suggest changing studios. Find somewhere that will give you more hours per week, but try to find somewhere with as good or better teaching. I'm fourteen too and I have ballet about An hour and a half or so per week. I want to start pointe next year (hopefully) and I'm taking classes over the summer. At my studio they have a special group (called kellar kids) of kids who put in extra time and effort by taking special classes and learning more dances. Maybe your studio has something like that too? I hope you get on pointe soon!

Im afraid that you might be a bit too old to become professional ballet dancer. You need to create your balance when you are on or around 7 years-old. Ballet requires more work than most people realize. If you really want to become serious about dancing, I'd recommend you to find a ballet company that trains teenagers. And you are going to be practising 7 days a week. I wish you the best luck.

I agree with what was posted above. You need to find a different studio to train in. If your current dance studio only offers teens one class a week, it sounds like it's mainly for recreational purposes than technique. If at all possible (and if your teacher is good) try to get some one-on-one time with her.

Good luck!

if you can't find another place to practice, why not set up a place in your house. all you need to do is practice, it doesn't matter where.
