I have been with my girlfriend for almost two years. I know to some, that isn't very long, and to others that is just enough time. She and I have been through plenty of ups and downs, but when all is said and done, she is the love of my life... I asked her to marry me a few months ago, and planning is under-way... How do you know, one hundred percent that you're ready to be with someone for the rest of your life?

no one is 100% sure ever. my husband and i dated for 3 1/2 years before we got married. i actually called the first engagement off , because i got cold feet. the day we got married we were both scared to death. 6 months after we married we almost divorced. we have now been married for 33 yrs and 7 months.and still in love with each other.

seriously if you knew you would not be asking this question. It is an x factor.....i am remarrying in feb 07 and i just knew when i meet this person......you just do....you don't question it...you run with it.

I think you have answered your own question.

When I married my first wife i was asking the same question you are now.......this time, I just know and it has neve popped into my mind.

The only thing about marriage that any one will know, is when it is ending. Then you know you should not have done it.
