What I do when I'm alone and scared. I take the phone and the TV remote ( I have a TV in my room) and keep it beside my pillow call my hubby and say to keep his phone close to him so I can call him if I need him and keep a light on in the hall so I can see. If that doesnt help you, mabey invite a friend over for a sleep over. Good luck, I know the feeling all too well!!

watch a funny movie or tv show.
When I was 13, I watched "Night of the living dead", alone in the house, at night and got so scared. I had to fall asleep to an Elvis Presley movie (the best thing that was playing at that time of the night)

Try to watch a more pleasant movie while you're trying to go to sleep, this will counter the effects of the horror flick in your head.
You should be able to fall asleep with no trouble, just leave the movie on till you pass out.

try watching the movie unsleeping, with Jessica Alba. that's a pair of guy who is going in for surgical treatment, however the medicine that replace into meant to place him asleep did no longer artwork. So he's paralyzed and can't tell the surgeons he continues to be unsleeping, so he's unsleeping duirng the entire surgical treatment. that's a very reliable movie. Sorry if it is not what you searching for (won't make you could desire to verify under the mattress or something), inspite of the incontrovertible fact that that's frightening!

Don't watch any more gory movies, you obviously get freaked out easly. (don't worry, I do to) Try some tea or sleeping pills to get to sleep, or listening to soft and relaxing music. If that doesn't work, just sleep with the lights on.

Well for starters it wasn't real so just think of that. or maybe sleep with the lights on. that's what I do if I feel un-easy when going to bed.
