How must the single white/black female go about business without intimidating the opposite "race", so as to be judged by character and accomplishments? What does the statement "Make them feel comfortable around you." actually entail for each situation?

I seem that be the case anywhere Like New Orleans. It's call keeping it in the family.

You can't. The blacks take care of their own, something most whites haven't figured out yet because they're too busy being white apologists. Hate to inform you but your career opportunities are quite limited being one of the few whites in a mostly black department.

She should do her job well and conduct herself in a courteous and professional manner. That's the best anyone can do. Perhaps her bosses and supervisors will be mature enough to judge her on her job performance rather than her ethnicity.

Talk and act "black" and you will be looked at as an equal, so race shouldnt be an issue.

If you are really good at what you do.. It will show, and there won't be doubts about whether or not you deserved an advance, it would be obvious that you earned it.
