Your unasked question seems to be about a family reunion being OK to attend. It depends on your relatives. There are the really posh ones, who get T-shirts printed, or tell the attendees that the dress code is "smart casual". Then there are the less upwardly mobile types, who generally feature a trip to the Emergency ward at least once in their celebrations. It usually serves as a platform for one or more alcoholics to make a true exhibit of themselves, and a chance for otherwise well-behaved children to run amok with lit fireworks, and for pyromaniacal adults to pour gasoline all over anything and everything within 2 miles of the barbeque. (See above re: emergency ward). There are a few who find they an honour guard of the local police, who are attempting to prevent an occurrence of this nature.

Why, yes. A family reunion is not to be missed!

Sheens, family reunions CAN be good. Sometimes they are very hard to deal with though. Not very many people get along well with thier in-laws. I know that it can be a lot of fun to go to a family reuinion, but it can be very stressfull at the same time.
I hope that you can work everything out, and if you have a family reunion coming up, I wish you the best of luck!

Hope my answer was helpful. I have been there and done that with Family reunions, Some are good, some are bad.
