Since cricket is a game of uncertainities, nothing can be predicted for sure about the outcome of a tournament which will be held few months after. While in the present form Australia are hot favourites, there is enough time for other teams to improve their performance. Teams like South Africa, India, Pakistan,
Sri Lanka, England etc. are capable of causing upset and win the World Cup
So it depends on their performance.But after looking at the performance of India there are some chances of winning.But I am sure that the top five teams will be :-
1.Australia 2.India
3.England 4.Pakistan
5.South Africa
There are some chances of New Zealand also.

Chappel and Dravid formed a team for their benefit, this team is no where near to a International Class Team. Do you think bowlers like Munaf Patel, Sreesanth, Pathan (?), RP Singh are good enough to defend any score. Remember the performnce of Srinath, Zaheer and Nehra in 2003 WC. These new comers are no wher near to them.
Most of the players are new so no one can anything to Dravid and Chappel.
And anything is more than enough to say about so called Batsmans. If Sachin score 50 in a match, then fail in 5 matches, specially when it is v crucial match. U can see his records of last 18 years, he never played well in any important match.
If there is no Ganguly, Laxman, Zaheer and Kumbale in Indian team, then there is no chance...
Aus, South Africa and New Zealand are far better side than India. And now even WI is looking tough for India.... :)

India can definitely go to final require:
1)Sachin carries his master form that he has shown in the ongoing challenger series(this one man can make difference)
2)If we get Good partnerships

Depends on their performance..coz looking at their current state nope..but...that doesn't mean they won't..all they have to do is give consistent good performance starting from the ICC Champions Trophy and who knows the World Cup would be coming home to India!!!
