How should a single white/black male/female go about business the course of business without intimidating the predominate opposite "race" within a business? What does the statement "Make them feel comfortable around you,,," entail for each situation?

If we lived in a free society we would have freedom of association and we would be able to choose who we wanted to hire for what ever reason we choose. Then you would not be forced to work with people of another race if you choose not to.

I've been in the same position, more than once. Just do the very best job you can--become known for quality work and real job competence. Second, observe the golden rule, and treat teveryone the way you'd want to be treated.

I work in a predominately black school. I just treat all people alike. Yes, you will have some accuse you of being racist but don't let it get you down.

The easiest way to do this is treating everyone regardless of race religion or creed the same. Work hard and you will do well.
